PURPOSE
This position is responsible for overseeing and coaching all aspects of the Women's Golf Program at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach women's golf program to include instructing women's golf student-athletes in all facets of the game of golf.
Schedule, make travel arrangements, requisition equipment, and supervise all assistants. Recruit, promote, and make grant-in-aid recommendations for the sport of women's golf and maintain compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations as they pertain to the sport of women's golf.
Monitor academic progress of athletes, complete required NCAA documents, and attend to conference duties and responsibilities. Encourage students to succeed academically and graduate.
Work with internal contingency groups such as faculty, staff, and university administrators and outside contingency groups such as the press, fans, donors, and the overall general public.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s Degree.
Three (3) years’ experience coaching/teaching golf.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Strong knowledge of the sport of golf.
WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE
Master’s Degree.
Prior experience as a student-athlete in the sport of golf at an NCAA institution.
SALARY: $65,000/annually, approximately.
