Description
The Head Coach is charged with the care and leadership of the men’s soccer program. The coach is
expected to follow all NCAA, Conference Carolinas, and College policies. The leadership of this position
will be highly knowledgeable about soccer and have a dynamic track record of recruiting at the NCAA
Division II level.
Responsibilities
• To coach and lead the NCAA Division II women’s soccer program
• To prepare and control the team’s budget
• To schedule competitive contests after approval from the Director of Athletics
• To recruit prospective student-athletes who are fits for Erskine College
• To encourage and promote excellence in academics from student-athletes
• To make all arrangements for home and away contests
• To order and coordinate needed athletic equipment
• To organize and conduct practice sessions
• To supervise assistant coaches and other auxiliary personnel
• To counsel and advise team members
• To engage in public relations activities and promote the team
• To conduct the sport’s program within all NCAA, Conference Carolinas, NCCAA, and Erskine
policies and guidelines
Qualifications
• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Commitment to Erskine’s mission, vision, and statement of faith
• Willingness to offer spiritual support to students and staff
• Exercise exemplary Christian commitment and character at all times
• Display adequate knowledge and technical skills of the sport
• Operate program within designated budget

Field a team that finishes in the top half of Conference Carolinas
Follow NCAA and Erskine Athletic Department procedures as outline in the NCAA Manual and
the Erskine Athletic Staff Manual
• Oversee team academic performance, with team GPA consistent with general student body
• Recruit roster with the minimum number of players outlined by the Director of Athletics
• Require players to exhibit exemplary character both on and off the field
• Conduct on-campus summer camps and/or “Quality Events” to attract students to campus
• Display a positive, professional approach and support for the College and its athletic programs
