This full-time, year-round position provides a head women’s soccer coach for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The position provides overall organization and management of the women’s soccer program while reporting directly to the Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships and Associate Athletic Director. In accordance with the vision of the Department, this position is responsible for leadership of a championship-caliber program, including, but not limited to coaching, practices and workouts, recruiting, scouting, scheduling, coordinating travel, planning and monitoring the women’s soccer operating and scholarship budget, monitoring player academics, maintaining strong roster numbers, organizing and managing camps and clinics, following RMAC and NCAA rules, promoting the women’s soccer program to the community, alumni and fans, and developing fund-raising opportunities for the program. Other duties may be assigned by the Associate Athletic Director and/or Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships as necessary.
Primary Duties
Coach student-athletes, including all women’s soccer team practices and scheduled games/competitions. Develop sound game plans and strategies. Condition and train athletes, including skill demonstration, to develop skill, character and teamwork in women’s soccer.
Manage the entire women’s soccer program by planning and coordinating all activities. Ensure that all University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations are followed, including student-athlete eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, scheduling, and academic progress. Manage the programs operating budget through procurement requests, and travel reimbursements.
Recruits highly qualified prospective student-athletes.
Monitors player academics including student welfare and encourages academic excellence.
Organize team camps; develop fund-raising opportunities, serve on committees that promote success of the program and athletics, and establish and maintain community contacts and enhance the success of the program.
Ancillary Duties:
Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Associate Athletic Director and/or Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships.
Salary Range
$47,000-64,000
