Head Women’s Softball Coach

Reports to: Head Coach

Job Status : Yes

JOB SUMMARY : Responsible for recruiting, developing and managing team of student-athletes to represent HCU in the sport of women’s softball.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as a representative of the University displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the HCU community and with the public
  • Scouts and recruits talented athletes for team which involves evaluating current and potential talent at high schools and junior colleges.
  • Coaches athletes during games and practices
  • Schedules opponents
  • Operates within the rules as required by the conference and the NCAA
  • Evaluates competitor performance
  • Manages use of softball facilities
