This position requires a flexible, year-round work schedule that includes regular business hours (Monday through Friday) as well as frequent evening and weekend commitments to support practices, competitions, recruiting activities, team travel, fundraising events, and program operations. Extended and irregular hours are required during traditional and non-traditional seasons, recruitment periods, postseason competition, preseason preparation, and other peak operational times. Travel and overnight commitments are required. Occasional holiday availability may be necessary based on competitive schedules and institutional needs.

The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach is responsible for the strategic leadership, competitive success, and operational management of a nationally competitive NCAA Division III volleyball program. The position is accountable for sustaining championship-level performance, recruiting and developing high-caliber student-athletes, and fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Head Coach is evaluated annually based on competitive outcomes, program leadership, recruitment effectiveness, student-athlete development, compliance, and operational execution.

The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee’s total compensation.

The physical demands of this position require the ability to regularly stand, walk, and move throughout athletic facilities for extended periods of time, including practices, competitions, training sessions, and recruiting activities. The position requires frequent verbal communication in indoor and outdoor athletic environments, often at elevated noise levels during practices and competitions.
The role involves occasional bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting of equipment, supplies, or materials weighing up to 30 pounds. The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach must be able to demonstrate volleyball techniques, participate in drills as needed, and remain physically present and attentive for extended periods, including evenings and weekends.
The work environment includes gymnasiums, outdoor travel settings, and office spaces. The position requires sustained mental focus, decision-making under pressure, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
