Pitt-Bradford is looking for an energetic Women’s Volleyball Coach. This is a Full-time , 10-month position reporting to the Director of Athletics. Pitt-Bradford is a NCAA Division III institution and a founding member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC).
Duties: This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Women’s Volleyball program and will be in charge of identifying, evaluating, and recruiting student athletes who can be successful both academically and athletically at the NCAA Division III level. The head coach will be a strong advocate for academic excellence, and the main resource and leader for players.
A successful candidate must demonstrate a proven aptitude for coaching as illustrated by a strong work ethic, and the ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus, and the community. Individuals with experience related to multiculturalism and/or issues related to campus diversity are of particular interest. Responsibilities include planning, programming, directing, supervising, and implementing the duties and functions of the Women’s Volleyball program while adhering to Pitt-Bradford and NCAA rules and regulations. The head coach must work closely with all others involved in carrying out the philosophy and objective of the intercollegiate athletic program.
Salary: $37,500 - $42,500
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred; three years’ successful volleyball coaching experience. A commitment to, or willingness to learn and implement NCAA Division III philosophy and rules.

Job Summary
Oversees all aspects of a sports program. Recruits athletes, mentors athletes, fosters athletic, emotional, and academic group of student athletes. Oversees sports equipment, practice plans and schedules, skill development, designs coaching strategies. Oversees public and media relations. Coordinates team travel and schedule. Adheres to all rules and regulations. Oversees assistant coaching staff.
Essential Functions
Responsible for administering all aspects of the women’s volleyball program including coaching, promoting, recruiting, requisitioning and maintaining equipment, supervising assistants, monitoring academic and disciplinary standing of student-athletes, and fulfilling other such duties as they arise or are assigned.
Physical Effort
The position requires long non-traditional work hours. Physical exertion is required at various times.
