Midway University is actively seeking a full-time head coach to oversee and lead its Women’s Wrestling program. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports directly to the Vice President of Athletics and Student Affairs.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Recruiting to achieve roster goals, competitive success, and academic performance in accordance with admissions procedures and scholarship requirements.
Organizing, scheduling, and leading daily practice sessions, game plan preparation and strategy, competitions, and off-season training.
Coordinating travel arrangements for away contests.
Supporting academic progress, enforcing discipline and sportsmanship behavior.
Hiring, supervising, and evaluating assistant coach and program volunteers.
Budgeting, fundraising, promoting and marketing the program.
Adhering to Midway University, Rivers States Conference, NAIA, and any other appropriate governing body policies and procedures.
Additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Department.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Demonstrated coaching experience is required. Prior collegiate coaching experience is preferred.
Familiarity with and working knowledge of NAIA rules, along with a strong commitment to compliance, are essential.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travelling for away games, is required.
This position will require a background and driving record check.
