SUMMARY/SCOPE:
Supports the Head Volleyball Coach with oversight of all aspects of running an NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball program at Hardin-Simmons University.
Responsible for helping to plan and organize all volleyball practice sessions.
In addition, responsible for assisting with coaching decisions during competition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in direction conditioning of players to achieve maximum athletic performance.
Assists in assessment of player's skills and assigns team positions
Assists with recruiting qualified student-athletes for acceptance into Hardin-Simmons University within guidelines set by the University. This includes identifying, evaluation, developing relationships, and initiating application submission.
Assists with development and implementation of a program which includes monitoring academic progress in addition to athletic performance.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of the American Southwest Conference, and University rules and regulations.
Conducts program in compliance with ASC and NCAA rules and regulations.
Organizes camps and clinics to promote said sport, public interest, and community involvement with the University.
Assists with team travel including hotel reservations, ground transportation, and meal arrangements.
