POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for five Intern Athletic Trainers to assist in delivering athletic training services to various Florida Gators sports as assigned (Men’s Basketball/Men’s Golf; Men’s and Women’s Tennis/Women’s Golf; Soccer/Lacrosse; Softball; and Spirit/Volleyball/Gymnastics). Other duties include providing coverage for the athletics training facility; oversite of athletic training students; and travel as required by the sports. This position requires the incumbent to be highly organized; have a positive attitude; have strong verbal and written communication skills; work independently and as part of a collaborative team; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds; and work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and overnight team travel. This is a time-limited position with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met. These positions have an estimated start date in summer of 2026. This posting will remain open until qualified candidates are chosen.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Certified Athletic Training Program by start date BOC Certification Florida Licensure eligible within 30 days of hire Current American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Certification A valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment   *Please note: Additional on the job training will be provided to candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for this position.  Please note this is a non-coaching position.
