The successful candidate will be responsible for choreography, development, and instruction of the university Lionette Dance Team through quality practice and excellent communication.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain and communicate in-depth knowledge of dance techniques and practices to team members.
Commitment to supporting academic and athletic progress and performance of the individual dance team members.
Collaborate with the Spirit Director in the identification, evaluation, and coaching of dance team members.
Work with Spirit director on team strategies for individual dance team development.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with coaching staff, athletic administrative staff and other university personnel.
Maintain a professional and positive image of Southeastern Athletics,
specifically the football program
Follow established departmental policies and procedures
Commitment to work with diversity
Ability to work nights/evening, weekends and holiday
Ability to travel when necessary as support of the Spirit Program.
Other duties as assigned by the Spirit Director
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. A minimum of one year of coaching experience at the high school level or established school of dance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree from an accredited university.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations in Division 1 Athletics
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Strong Attention to Detail
Highly organized and multi-task oriented
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a fast paced team
Strong leadership skills
