Performs moderately complex managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Athletics Department.
Manages daily administrative activities of the Director of Athletics. Establishes goals and objectives for business operations support staff. Oversees daily calendar and develops schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals of the Director. Coordinates special events and other efforts of the Director with assistance from department and campus members to achieve departmental goals. Evaluates department activities and events. Works closely with Executive Staff and Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Corresponds with external stakeholders (donors, sponsors, dignitaries) to accomplish vision and goals for the department and University. Monitors travel and budget expenditures through use of Bearkat Buy, Payment Works, Chrome River, ARMS, and Purchase Orders. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of staff. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to manage business functions.Communicates with other university departments, personnel, and other agencies.
