Athletics in the planning, development, and execution of marketing initiatives and game presentation for varsity programs with an emphasis on ticketed sports. This position will also assist in the management of the ‘Cat Crew student interns. The Manager of Marketing & Fan Engagement is also responsible for utilizing various social media, web-based and digital tools and tracking their results to achieve key organizational goals.
Work with the
UNH
Athletics’ external staff in elevating the department’s mission and goals. Drive attendance for all varsity sports and increase visibility of ticketed sports through the development, planning, and activation of promotions and theme nights. Additionally assist in the management of on-campus initiatives to drive student engagement.
Hire and manage the student interns (also known as the ’Cat Crew). Provide assignments, train and
lead gameday intern meetings for select athletic events and fan engagement activities.
Coordinate staffing of marketing activities and game presentation for all
UNH
home ticketed athletic events. Communicate all staffing requests, schedules, and gameday assignments with student interns.
Act as primary contact for UNH’s mascot program. Hire and manage appearance requests for Gnarlz and Wild-E, and coordinate appearances for select in-game promotions and elements.
Manage gameday event production (pregame and postgame activities included) for select sports, including the preparation of run-of-show documents, (videoboard scripts, PA reads, etc.), and select videoboard graphics (birthdays, groups, etc.).
Collaborate with Athletics’ external staff (sponsorship, communications, production, etc.) and athletics teams in implementing promotional and theme calendars.
Coordinate digital marketing initiatives and find new ways to engage fans through social media, making recommendations accordingly to further marketing efforts.
Work with Wildcat Sports Properties multimedia rights department to ensure proper activation of all sponsored promotions as part of in-game entertainment and across various digital platforms.
Schedule fan engagement initiatives, including anthems, color guards, cheerleading, dance team and additional on- and off-field game entertainment (group sale activations, campus organizations, third parties, etc.).
Prepare, edit, and activate select digital media initiatives, with a focus on email marketing (Wildcats This Week, sport-specific emails, etc.).

· Must possess initiative and a strong work ethic.
· Strong customer service skills and a willingness to engage fans.
· Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office
· Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a time sensitive, team-oriented environment.
· Ability to maintain a professional attitude in high-pressure situations.
· Ability to work independently without supervision.
· Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Some travel may be required
· Previous experience in marketing, promotions, game presentation and/or sales is desired.
· Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Premiere, etc.
· Good working knowledge of email marketing applications (e.g. Constant Contact)
· Good working knowledge of social media networks
