| Position Overview |
Serve as the primary marketing assistant for the following assigned sports: men’s and women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse. This position will also have secondary marketing responsibilities for men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball. Responsible to grow and enhance the awareness and enthusiasm of the assigned sport(s) resulting in increased attendance and fan engagement for home events. Serve as the primary coordinator of the Marquette Kids Club, in which enhancing and increasing attendance in the program will result in the cultivation of young fans and their families through their engagement with Marquette Athletics.

| Duties and Responsibilities |
1. Responsible for all marketing, fan engagement and promotional aspects surrounding assigned sport(s). Develop annual marketing plans for assigned sport(s). Assist with the development and execution of marketing email programs including creation and distribution of content. Develop and implement strategies to grow awareness of assigned sport(s) and Marquette Athletics within the Marquette.
Create initiatives to enhance fan engagement during home events that will result in a positive experience and encourage fans to return to future events, especially the student body, and to increase attendance by the students at home events. Create and execute scripts and timing sheets. This includes the creation and execution of all promotional activities and events that occur at each home event. Serve as lead marketing representative for on-court promotions during men’s and women’s basketball games.
Coordinate, grow & facilitate all aspects of the Marquette Kids Club, including on- campus kids club events at Marquette sporting events.
Work in conjunction with Ticket Office to coordinate group sales, special events and promotions around home events.
Manage marketing budgets for assigned sport(s). Manage and facilitate departmental charitable donation requests.
Assist Director of Marketing with content generation, strategy and implementation of digital and social media. Assist in managing, developing and editing website content around tickets & marketing pages on gomarquette.com. Assist with the creation of digital graphics for social and digital media as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

| Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or closely related field of study
A minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Experience with computers
Strong communications skills
Strong knowledge and experience with social media.

| Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
Some experience within college athletics is preferred.
Experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop preferred.
