MEN’S BASKETBALL ASSISTANT COACH

Brescia University, a small Catholic Liberal Arts University located in Kentucky is searching
for a part-time Assistant Coach for the Men’s Basketball program. The position assists the
head coach with the overall operation of the program and the advancement of Brescia
University’s athletic program’s overall goals and responsibilities.
The assistant coach will recruit, organize activities and athlete training, analyze performance,
and instruct athletes with game strategies and techniques.

Qualifications are:

High school graduate or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred in Sport Administration,
Recreation Administration, College Student Personnel Administration, Physical Education,
or related area

• 1 year of club, high school coaching or playing experience; preferable at collegiate
• Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable by Brescia insurance.
• Effective communication skills

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Responsible for the players’ performance in the classroom and during games;
• Organize activities and athlete training, analyze performance, and instruct athletes

with game strategies and techniques;

• Assist with the coordination of the varsity student athlete’s recruitment process

including making recommendations on the acquisition of players

• Responsible for scheduling and conducting team practices and game travel,

maintaining budget, supplies, and equipment
