The University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) is seeking a Head Men's Basketball Coach. The head coach will provide instruction, training, coaching, and administer all organizational aspects of a competitive intercollegiate NCAA Division III basketball program via coordinated recruitment with the assistance of a part-time assistant coach. Commitment and ability to lead and run a model program that attracts, yields, and graduates talented student-athletes, develops them holistically as individuals, and provides positive results in a competitive team environment on all fronts are required. Building positive student relationships and meaningful experiences while demonstrating the utmost professionalism and integrity is expected. Additional duties are likely to include, but are not limited to, athletic alumni relations/development, fundraising, special events/projects/initiatives, and out-of-season event management. Being a great team player within the department, who is eager to work collaboratively with all programs/staff/administration who share facilities, resources, and common goals, values, and mission is essential. Sincere interest and flexibility to assist and adjust responsibilities that support evolving department/university needs are required. The University of Maine Farmington is an NCAA Division III institution and a member of the North Atlantic Conference. It sponsors 15 NCAA sports, plus a full complement of USCSA ski and snowboarding. This position is a full-time (40-hour work week) and is on a 10-month work calendar. A typical work year is August 15 through June 15. Additionally, this position requires frequent travel, as well as evenings, weekends, and possible holidays hours.
