Position Summary

Reporting to the Head Coach, Carlo Acquista, the Goalkeeper Coach is responsible for the technical, tactical, physical, and mental development of all goalkeepers in the program. This role designs and delivers position-specific training, supports match-day preparation, and collaborates closely with the Head Coach and other assistants to integrate goalkeeper development into the team’s overall tactical identity.

Essential Functions

Plans and runs daily goalkeeper-specific training sessions as well as individualize development plans for each goalkeeper based on strengths, weaknesses, and role within the team system. Integrates goalkeeper training into full-team sessions, ensuring alignment with the tactical game model.

Tracks and evaluates goalkeeper performance metrics. Reviews match film with goalkeepers to identify areas for improvement.

Additional Functions

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate, professional, or high-level club/academy level as a goalkeeper.

Strong understanding of modern goalkeeping techniques and tactics.

Able to work evenings/weekends during the season and travel with the team when available.

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

USSF/United Soccer Coaches goalkeeping-specific coaching license or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain one.

Prior collegiate coaching experience.
