Position Description

The Men’s Volleyball Assistant Coach will assist with all aspects of the program and support the Head Coach both on and off the court. The Assistant Coach will be a self-starter, will infuse the program with positive energy, and will take initiative to formulate meaningful relationships. The Coach will work tirelessly in support of important program initiatives: recruiting and coordination of recruit visits; team travel; game day management; equipment management; clinics/camps and fundraising.

Position Responsibilities

  • Involved in all aspects of the men’s volleyball program. Help the Head Coach maintain 18 student-athletes within the volleyball program
  • Attend club and high school recruiting events in Fall, Spring and Summer. Recruit student athletes who embody Eastern’s core mission and values.
  • Open-minded and able to maintain open communication with student athletes, peers, Head Coach and members of Athletic & Strength training departments.
  • Assist in all aspects of coaching including practice planning, game film breakdown, statistics, and conducting individual skill sessions, etc.
  • Assists with fundraising, road trips, spring break, prospective student athlete’s campus visits, official visit, and team bonding activities.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy and the student-athlete experience.
  • Enthusiasm for, life-long commitment to, and curiosity about, becoming a better coach and leader.
