This position has recruiting, leadership, administrative, communication, writing, and coaching components.
Essential Functions:
Sourcing and recruiting prospective student athletes that meet
NCC
admission requirements
Scheduling on-campus visits in conjunction with the admissions department.
Event planning for home competition and alumni events.
Writing and directing practices.
Planning team meals and transportation to and from competitions.
Assisting in administrative duties such as meet entry.
Building positive relationships with current team members to motivate and encourage effective training strategies.
Assist with follow up of donors and alums.
Other duties as assigned.
This position complements the knowledge and skills that students will learn in the Higher Education Leadership, Liberal Studies, Organizational Leadership,Professional and Creative Writing, Sports Leadership,
MBA
, and HumanResource Management programs.

Required:
Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College.
Swim team experience – either as a swimmer or coach – or athletic administrative experience.
Current
CPR
/
AED
and First Aid certification, or eligibility to become current.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Able and willing to travel as needed, including nights and weekends.
Preferred:
Experience in college athletics strongly preferred.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record strongly preferred.
