Position Description:
The Motion Graphic Designer is an integral part of the Creative Team for the University of Louisville Athletic Department. This position directs the creation of video production of motion graphics and design for in-game videoboard elements for all sports programs. This position reports to the Director of Brand Marketing and Licensing and works to design and create motion graphics that set the tone for all videoboard production. They also work closely with the Multimedia Content Producer team, both video and graphic design, to create elements to elevate the level of brand campaign, including graphic and video production.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and implement videoboard motion graphics and animation look for current season and beyond, with the goal to have a completely new look every two (2) years.
Work with Learfield Sports Properties to create content that enhances the videoboard production, including some sponsor content.
Create gameday animations and motion/still graphics for in-venue videoboards (ribbons, fascia, auxiliary boards etc.).
Create motion graphic elements for post-production videos.
Work with Creative colleagues to develop overall brand campaign and subsequent elements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in a collegiate or professional sports or video production environment editing video, digital, and/or graphic media.
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.
Experience with Maxon One Software including Cinema 4D and Red Giant.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills; including the ability to share knowledge and bring creative ideas from concept to completion.
Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.
Previous work experience in intensive fast-paced environments.
Ability to produce high volumes of content while maintaining a strong quality of work.
Comfortability with tight deadlines and the ability to answer to multiple constituents and prioritize projects, including working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to take and incorporate feedback to improve designs and adapt to changing priorities.
Demonstrated experience working both independently and in a team environment.
