PURPOSE
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, a Division I institution and member of the Southland Conference, seeks a highly motivated individual with proficient live streaming skills for the full-time position of Multimedia Production Specialist.
While working at The Island University, which offers more than 250 days of sunshine in a city that is one of three sunniest, non-desert locations in the United States, the position will serve as the lead point of contact for ESPN+ and all live streaming duties. The position will support the brand of both the department and conference, while working closely with the institution’s athletics communications and external relations staffs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, direct and execute athletics department video and live streaming productions
Serve as the main point of contact for ESPN and conference video staffs
Serve as liaison with University video and IT department units in relation to video
Generate and manage creative content video
Provide videoboard content including intro videos
Create departmental videos for social media including sport specific hype videos
Capture and create in-game and post-game video content to highlight and promote student-athlete success on social media
Distribute game highlights and melts for social media and other media outlets (television and internet) including regional and national stations
Recruit, hire and train student workers for game day staffing
Oversee and maintain all video equipment
Meet all live streaming optimal standards set by ESPN and the Southland Conference
Setup and teardown video equipment on game days including but not limited to cables, cameras, tripods, microphones and networking equipment
Ensure that all video equipment is properly maintained and functioning
Maintain video archives for the department
Oversee all operational aspects of other live productions such as conference media days, coach hirings and media interviews
Work with the Associate Athletics Director in purchasing and maintenance of equipment to further enhance live broadcasts
Other duties as requested by athletics communications and external relations units
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting tight deadlines
Self-motivated while also being team-oriented
Ability to work evenings and weekends
WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE
Minimum two years of experience in sports video production
Experience working within Intercollegiate Athletics or related
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, non-linear editing methods and Adobe Photoshop
Experience operating Ross Expressions (or comparable), video/audio routing systems, HD Camera Systems, Instant Replay, fiber optic and SDI cable systems and audio systems.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
