Coaches Compensation Schedule
The Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach is a part-time position. This position provides coaching support for the Men’s Basketball Team and the Athletic Department. The position coordinates with the Athletic Director in establishing coaching procedures and compliance with NCAA coaching requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, and talk or hear, walk, jog, run, sit, stand, twist, bend, kneel, move around, balance, coordinate, and reach with hands and arms. This individual is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, manipulate objects, tools or controls, and give direction through communication or signals. This position requires frequent mobility with moderate to heavy physical exertion through walking, standing, running, biking, lifting or jogging for the entire workday. This individual must routinely be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination are required for 10% of the work period while operating office-related equipment such as phones, computer, computer keyboard, mouse and similar office and classroom machines. The position requires vocal communication by means of the spoken word, and hearing is required to perceive information. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment can range from low to high due to giving and receiving direction at loud levels, gymnasium acoustics and training room noise if indoors. Travel and morning, afternoon, evening and weekend hours are necessary. This position is not authorized for telecommuting.
Salary is commensurate with responsibilities and experience. Salary is based on an 19-week NCAA winter sport season and the success of the team beyond the regular season. This is a 0.16 FTE (based on an average of 18-hours weekly for the season) part-time, non-exempt, position with no benefits. This position begins on or around October 16 and ends on or around February 15. As the calendar year, academic year, and season fluctuates with start and stop dates, these dates are used as reference.
