The Assistant Swimming Coach (10 month) reports to the Head Swimming Coach and will assist the Head And Assistant Swimming Coaches in directing various activities of the men’s and women’s swimming programs within NCAA, RMAC and Colorado School of Mines policies, guidelines, and procedures. The Assistant Swimming Coach is responsible for supporting the athletic and academic development of student-athletes while focusing on student-athlete welfare.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Late August – early May (10 months)
  • Must be able to commit at least 25 hours/week, preferably during team practice times – early mornings (6-9 am, MWRF) and later afternoons/evenings (2-6pm M-F) and weekends (sat am 7-11 am)
  • Responsibilities are not limited to but include on-deck coaching; assessing and correcting technique; motivating, listening and talking with student-athletes; video analysis and working with underwater camera equipment.
  • Administrative tasks as assigned, ie: Cara Logs, compliance paperwork, newsletters, practice data
  • Other duties as assigned
