Reports to: Head Women’s Wrestling Coach
Job Summary:
The Part-Time Assistant Women’s Wrestling Coach assists the Head Coach in all aspects of developing, organizing, and sustaining a competitive and values-driven NAIA women’s wrestling program at Wesleyan College. This position plays a vital role in the athletic, academic, and character development of student-athletes.
The Women’s Wrestling program is rooted in the core values of Gratitude, Discipline, Integrity, and Edification. The Assistant Coach is expected to actively model and promote these values while helping to build strong, supportive, positive, nourishing, fulfilling, and encouraging relationships within the team and broader campus community.
Through this sport, the program seeks to prepare women to succeed not only in competition, but also personally, academically, and professionally. The Assistant Coach must be committed to mentoring student-athletes holistically, understanding that coaching extends beyond the mat and into leadership development, accountability, life skills, and long-term success.
