The Athletics Department is accepting applications for a Part-Time Athletics Compliance Assistant. The qualified candidate selected for this position will assist in the following capacities: Support Associate Director of Internal Operations/SWA in the daily operations of NCAA and conference rules compliance Responsible for understanding and implementing NCAA rules and regulations and AUM Athletics policies Assist with the recruiting compliance process, including but not limited to eligibility information via the NCAA Eligibility Center, official and unofficial visits, and recruiting logs Assist in updates to Eligibility Certification Committee and coaches on status of prospective student-athletes through NCAA Eligibility Center Assist in the maintenance of all NCAA, conference and institutional required forms Edit and maintain compliance-related forms and reports through SharePoint, ARMs and email Assist with travel notice creation and issuance to student-athletes, faculty and coaches Assist in review of time management and countable athletic-related activity Assist in review and audit of data for graduation rates, academic progress census data, compliance assistant updates, ARMS roster updates, and cohort master list Assist in development of education-related resources Provide support on game day to execute duties to be compliant with expectations for a well-managed event that also adheres to NCAA rules Other duties as assigned by the Athletics Compliance Office
Knowledge of applicable University practices and procedures Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Interpersonal skills Knowledge of NCAA applications (CA, CA 2.0, Eligibility Center, Learning Portal, etc) Written communication skills Ability to respond to multiple competing demands Ability to use a computer and relevant software applications Ability to work with individuals from various backgrounds
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma Available on nights and weekends Based on funding source, cannot be or become AUM student while filling position Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Experience working with NCAA athletics compliance.
