Pay Rate: $18.00/hour; Max 20 hours per week
The Athletics Department is accepting applications for a Part-Time Game Day and Event Operations Assistant. The qualified candidate selected for this position will assist in the following capacities:
Work collaboratively with athletics administration team to provide game day operations to all sports and events.
Assist with event coverage for all home events and special events.
Perform assorted game-day duties, such as venue set-up, venue tear down, visiting team locker room contact, regs contact, ticketing thru HomeTown Ticketing, and athletics communications assistance as needed.
Assist with game day coordination of student worker staffs.
Assist with planning and execution of special events, including watch parties, meet and greets, marketing-related collaborations with on and off-campus groups.
Assist with preparation and execution of hosting post-season related events.
Assist with execution and hosting summer events including Hall of Fame, Orientation, Kick-off to College Tailgate, etc.
Complete other duties as assigned by athletics administration team.
Must be available on nights and weekends due to event schedules.
Assist with facility enhancement projects and maintenance of administrative equipment in summer months
Assist with athletics communications summer social media programming
Assist with summer planning and projects to prepare for upcoming academic year
Knowledge of applicable University practices and procedures
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
Interpersonal skills
Written communication skills
Ability to respond to multiple competing demands
Ability to use a computer and relevant software applications
Ability to work with individuals from various backgrounds
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Available on nights and weekends
Minimum of 1 year experience within college athletics
Based on funding source, cannot be or become
AUM
student while filling position
