Part-Time Diving Coach

As our new Part-Time Diving Coach, you will assist the Head Swimming and Diving Coach in managing the program by providing ongoing assistance in recruitment, training and leadership for student athletes while creating positive experiences for all individuals participating in the swimming and diving program. You will assist with team and player development and training as well as contribute ideas and input for practices. In the absence of the head coach, you will lead and demonstrate practices and may have specific positional coordination responsibilities as well as supervise other coaches. You will evaluate athletes’ performances and make recommendations and/or decisions regarding participation in competitions.
You will also identify, evaluate, and assist with ongoing recruitment of prospective athletes, with recruitment responsibilities that may be off campus, including home visits, and assist with on-campus visits (National or International). You will conduct research for and make recommendations regarding equipment purchases, meeting the continued needs of the team. An integral part of the success of our athletic programs, you will support team and players to thrive academically, helping to integrate athletes with Institute and department services. As our Part-Time Diving Coach, you will be a role model, exemplifying high standards of sportsmanship, conduct and values in support of the mission and vision of the Institute.

Apply NowQualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree and one to two years’ experience playing or coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level with demonstrated ability to recruit academically oriented student athletes.
Preferred applicants will have a master’s degree and college coaching experience.
