Job Summary

| Job Summary |
The Golf Coach will coordinate, guide, direct, and supervise the Men’s and Women’s Golf Program.

This 20% part-time role will have direct responsibility with recruiting coordination, coaching student-athletes; monitoring student-athlete academic progress; and tournament management. |

Duties and Responsibilities

| Duty/Responsibility |

• Effectively assists in recruiting qualified student athletes to participate in the men’s athletic program.
• Effectively promotes Concord University academic and athletic programs to potential students.
• Ensuring that players associated with the golf program are eligible under NCAA and MEC regulations.
• Effectively monitoring student athlete academic progress; referring or counseling where appropriate, and motivating the athlete.
• Establishing and maintaining good personal relationships with student athletes, staff, the community and the media. | | % of Time | 100 |

Education/Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization, with at least two (2) years of coaching experience or two years playing experience at the collegiate level or above. | | Required Skills |
- Demonstrated ability to identify and recruit outstanding student-athletes. - Excellent communication, management and organizational skills. - The ability to manage multiple tasks is essential. - Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, as well as the demonstrated ability to adhere to such regulations. - Basic computer skills. |
