Job Description:

Summary:

The Golf House Attendant ensures the smooth operation of our golf course facilities, providing exceptional service to guests.

Essential Departmental Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides exceptional customer service to all guests visiting the golf course facilities.
• Assists guests with inquiries, tee time bookings, and equipment rentals.
• Maintains a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
• Processes customer payments accurately and efficiently using cash registers or point-of-sale systems.
• Handles cash transactions, credit/debit card payments and reconciles transactions at the end of each shift.
• Ensures adherence to established accounting procedures and reports any discrepancies to management promptly.
• Opens and closes the golf facility according to operating hours and procedures.
• Manages golf cart distribution, ensuring availability and proper maintenance of carts.
• Collects and organizes range balls, ensuring the driving range is well-stocked and tidy.
• Conducts routine inspections of golf carts, ensuring they are clean, charged, and in good working condition.
• Reports any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
• Communicates effectively with other staff members to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operation of the facility.
• Collaborates with management to implement improvements in service quality and efficiency.
• Assists with inventory management, replenishing supplies as needed.
• Promotes golf course services and amenities to guests, encouraging participation in additional activities or events.
• Provides information about upcoming events, tournaments, and special promotions to guests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or golf facility operations preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills to provide exceptional service and address guest inquiries and concerns.
• Ability to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and terminology.

Abilities:

• Able to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
• Treat all customers with fairness and impartiality, providing consistent service.
• Ensures all financial transactions are processed accurately and honestly.

Work Environment:

• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regularly travels in outside weather conditions, is exposed to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and is occasionally exposed to fumes, smoke, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Noise levels in the work environment can vary from moderate to loud.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand for extended periods; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
