Position Overview

Butler University seeks a part-time strength and conditioning coach to assist in managing and supervising the daily strength and conditioning operations for multiple sport programs. The part-time coach assists the head coach and assistant coaches in providing skills and support for the vision and strategies of Butler’s programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coaching and teaching of training programs for 20 teams and 400+ student-athletes; expertise includes strength development, cardiovascular development, team conditioning, speed development, flexibility development, injury prevention, rehabilitation of injured student-athletes, nutrition and supplement education
  • Assist the building and maintenance of year-round, periodized training programs for assigned teams; maintain progress records for evaluation of programs
  • Help build a positive culture through collaboration with weight room staff, athletic trainers, sport coaches, student-athletes, and other athletic personnel
  • Other duties as assigned by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
