Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Temporary Nigel Mascot. This role is responsible for portraying the Nigel suit in accordance with training from the head coach of UNG's Cheer Team and Sport Clubs/Teams Coordinator. They are responsible for attending events assigned to them (such as Basketball Games, UNG Campus Events, outside reservations, etc.) as directed by the Sport Clubs/Teams Coordinator. Nigel will embody the Nighthawk spirit and conceal their identity from the public during all appearances. This position will require travel to all 5 campuses and other locations as requested.

Responsibilities

• Attend required events during the Athletic season.
• Communicate with Sport Clubs/Teams Coordinator availability when appearance requests are submitted.
• Travel to requested appearances.
• Must be willing to learn and implement Mascot mechanics and training.
• Coordinate Social Media posts to highlight Nigel and Nighthawk Spirit.
• Assist Sport Clubs/Teams Coordinator with Nigel try outs and marketing.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Driver's License required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mascot training/knowledge preferred.
