Graduate of a culinary institute preferred. 1-4 years experience as a chef. Previous experience working with sports teams. Nutrition Certification or Registered Dietitian. ServSafe Certification.

| Position Summary |
The Performance Chef for Georgia Football will assist the Head Performance Chef & the Performance Sous Chef in executing the culinary nutrition program for the Georgia football team. The individual will need to be aware of the fueling needs of football athletes and have the ability to customize meals based on body composition goals, food allergies, and athletes’ preferences. They will be responsible for receiving goods, quality control, menu development and execution, and managing culinary & sanitizing inventory. Additionally, the employee will need to be knowledgeable in culinary terms, knife skills, and basic cooking techniques to lead cooking demonstrations for football athletes. Will also oversee and determine products and quantities needed to execute weekly menus.

- Knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations, policies, and services.
- Knowledge of nutritional principles as they relate to sport and athletic performance.
- Knowledge of Health and Food Safety Codes for food preparation, storage, and serving.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with athletes, staff, and coaches.
- Previous experience developing menus and working with different caterers.
- Menu modification and development.
- Meal planning to meet athletes’ goals .

| Physical Demands |
Lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs. Will be working in outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time. Will move around campus, which includes gym, turf, fields, etc. Will also work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays. Driving as needed to complete job related tasks.
