POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Performance Coach to perform a variety of duties related to athletic performance programs for student-athletes. Serves as the lead Performance Coach in the implementation of sport-specific strength, agility, conditioning, and speed programs for Volleyball; also assists with Swimming & Diving. Oversees general activities in the weight room to ensure proper procedures and lift protocols are followed. Assists in monitoring of the student-athletes’ work ethic, techniques, and proper training skills. Assists with coordinating and overseeing the Strength & Conditioning Internship Program. This position requires the incumbent to lift and move one hundred plus pounds; be a flexible, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills; work independently and as part of a collaborative team; multitask effectively; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and with high energy, intense personalities; and work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extensive overnight travel. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field and one year or related experience training at a collegiate or professional level OR Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field and two years of related experience training at a collegiate or professional level CPR/First Aid Certification Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) OR Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations Experience working with GPS monitoring systems Experience interpreting performance metrics
