The University of Iowa Department of Athletics seeks applications for an _ Athletics Photography Intern _. This is a full-time (at-will and FLSA-non-exempt) position. Responsibilities: The Athletics Photography Intern plays a key role in bringing Iowa Hawkeye Athletics to life through compelling visual storytelling. This position supports the External Relations team in creating dynamic content for 22 varsity sports programs competing in the Big Ten Conference. This position is responsible for capturing photography at athletic competitions, events, and related activities; editing and preparing images for distribution across digital and media platforms; and transmitting images in real time during events to support event coverage and media needs. Additional responsibilities include organizing and maintaining the department’s digital photography archive to ensure appropriate storage and accessibility of assets, and collaborating with communications, marketing, and creative staff to support departmental initiatives. This position may work up to forty hours per week and will require availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Photography, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships;
