The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics competes at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics with the vision to reach Next Level Success for all 18 varsity teams and more than 500 student-athletes. The University of Cincinnati (UC), Department of Athletics seeks applications for a Player Development (Sports Program Associate) for the Baseball program. This is a full-time position, with a comprehensive benefits package.
The successful candidate will be expected to support the pitching coach in the development of student-athletes while following University of Cincinnati and departmental policies, NCAA Division I, and Conference bylaws and regulations.
Responsible for all aspects of any of the following functions within a sport program:
Identify program needs and implement program improvements.
Collaborate with staff to perform administrative tasks in line with program and departmental goals. Serve as ambassador of the program and look for opportunities to connect the program to the community and business partners.
May be required to drive a university vehicle and/or student-athletes.
May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Previous experience as a coach or collegiate player or work in an athletic department setting.
The position requires evening and weekend hours and travel with the team.
