Assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach in the development of student-athletes through court work and video analysis. This position will be responsible for day-to-day player development on and off the court. Through video analysis and on-court development sessions, this position will ensure the student-athlete development. Using video technology, this position will complete the filming of all Women’s Basketball games and practices, and use that video to design, implement, and evaluate developmental goals for the team and its players. The position will use video software and analytics to determine player efficiencies and development goals to improve performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Player Development:
Assist with the skill and player development of current student-athletes. Work with individual players before and after practice, when requested.
Individual skill sessions, staying within the NCAA regulations, for individual player workouts.
Implement new and creative ideas for post and guard development.
Conduct film breakdown - evaluate practice film to watch with individual players.
Video Coordination and Analysis:
Utilize basketball analytics techniques and software for player and team efficiency.
Data collection – in practices and games.
Collaborate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of player developmental goals, as well as implementation of player development plans to fulfill these goals.
Oversee NCAA film requirements and ensure that all West Coast Conference video exchange requirements are met, including technical requirements and deadlines.
Assist with game day video set up.
Assist with social media posts.
Camp Coordination:
Assist the Camp Director with day-to-day operations of executing Individual, Elite and Team Camp.
Special Conditions of Employment:
Ability to work nights and weekends is required.
Ability to travel with teams when required.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Degree Verification Requirement
: Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; OR equivalent combination of education and experience at the rate of two years of work experience is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
One year of related experience required.
Knowledge of the game required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience at High School, NJCAA, NAIA, or NCAA basketball experience preferred.
Knowledge of rules and regulations of the NCAA, West Coast Conference and University of San Diego preferred.
Performance Expectations - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Google Drive applications.
Possess ability to communicate effectively one-on-one, in small groups and in public speaking contexts; writes precise, well-organized emails, letters and proposals while using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
Effectively performs duties and responsibilities; displays attention to detail; supports organizational policies; anticipates demands/pressures of assignments and adjusts accordingly.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
CPR/AED/First Aid certification required within six weeks of hire date.
Required to be certified to recruit off-campus by USD Athletics Compliance Staff via NCAA rules education training within 6 weeks of hire date, and then each year before August 1st.

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
