Position Description

The Texas Tech University Postgraduate Intercollegiate Athletics Internship isintended to provide on-the-job learning experiences for college graduates interested in pursuing a career in various areas of intercollegiate athletics. This program can last 12-36 months.

Future leaders will gain experience in using principles such as:

• Applying a standard of ethics to policy and administrative context
  
• Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of current operations within area of assignment
  
• Communicating relevant information and ideas
  
• Managing university resources to achieve organizational goals

Major/Essential Functions

• Assist with maintaining the Catapult game analysis system. Ensure that all coaches' requests for coaching videos are met efficiently.
• Edit film produced during practices and games with Catapult Video Software.
• Assist with iPad/Computer distribution post-game for coaches to breakdown game film.
• Assist with importing all (NCAA, NFL, etc..) teams and TV copies into the video databases and store other video data on Catapult game analysis.
• Assist with management and training sessions with all student video staff.
• Help organize a strategic practice plan for students to follow.
• Assist with the maintenance of the following programs: 8K MASTER CAM, 8K Walk Through Wall, STRIVR Labs, Catapult Thunder, PFF, Tempo Music System, and Hudl.
• Assist with setting up and operating audiovisual (AV) equipment for hotel meeting rooms during home and away games, coaches clinics, official visits, and various other football support staff events.
• Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of new sideline tablet technology.
• Ability to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Travel is required.
• Comply with all NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Football Video and Head Football Coach.

Required Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university and previous experience with collegiate or professional athletics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 1-3 years of previous professional/intercollegiate football video experience.
• Substantial experience with and knowledge of 8K MASTER CAM, 8K Walk Through Wall, STRIVR Labs, Catapult Thunder, PFF, Tempo Music System, and Hudl
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
