About the Department and/or College

Major/Essential Functions

Under the direction of the Chief Analyst, the Post- Graduate Intern will:

• Help manage monthly development officer reports (proposal pipeline, contact reports, PM003, date of last seen).
• Help manage major gift portfolios, specifically assignment adjustments within portfolios, to best move donors and prospects through the development cycle.
• Help with special list requests from the ARM database.

• Track Master Prospecting Data, including by sport, region, and giving segment. 

  • Track all development officer activity.
  • Track all Gifts from the Monthly MC financial reports.

• Contact Reports

  • Enter Sr. Associate AD contact reports monthly.
  • Enter all event contact reports.
  • Enter all group meeting contact reports (as directed by Sr. Assoc. AD).
  • Enter the follow-up plan from the small group meetings into SharePoint.

• Comply with all NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies.

• Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and previous experience with collegiate or professional athletics.
 

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, sport management, marketing, or a related field.
• Experience working in collegiate athletics, fundraising, development, or donor relations preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience working with donor databases, CRM systems, or reporting platforms preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reporting, and record management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and organize data effectively.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
