Position Summary Information
| Primary Purpose |
The Powercat Mascot is a unique position within Athletics Marketing and Promotions. This position is meant to increase and maintain an engaging and thrilling experience for fans during Athletic games and events.

| Essential Functions |
- Ability to have high energy and enthusiasm at all times to maintain a thrilling atmosphere.
- Perform mascot duties in a manner deemed acceptable according to Pacific.
- Perform and/or provide support to all necessary community and team appearances.
- Work directly with marketing team to execute any promotions necessary.
- Must be well organized and flexible to meet time, priority, and workload demands.
- Ability to analyze and interpret common social expressions.
- Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience engaging with/cheering on an audience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Some Mascot experience.
- Good communication, listening, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces.
- Ability to wear and move around in a full body costume.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Heavy lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. Bending, stretching, and reaching requires. Some sitting and climbing, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended time. Possible contact with chemicals, loud noises, and confined spaces.

| Hiring Range | $16.00 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
