Producer
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range:
Producer: Hiring Range $79,920 - $99,900 (5+ years related professional exp)
Associate Producer: Hiring Range $72,440 - $90,550 (1-5 years related experience)
The Producer will be working with the Producers to create and develop content (including scripts) for live ACC Network sporting events, Coaches Shows, special segments, special interest stories and other athletic department programming used to promote BC athletics. The position will assist with other important aspects of Boston College’s ACC Network broadcasts. This includes production planning, production and collaborating with External Affairs, Athletic Communications and Interactive Media on the dissemination of content post production.
This position is responsible for identifying and selecting (under the direction of the Executive Producer and Producers) professional game day personnel that will produce all live broadcasts. These game day personnel include play by play announcers and color commentators. The Producer will also be asked to assist in the training and development of free-lance staff as well as the intern position. They will supervise the progress of a live broadcast or taped project from pre-production to post-production.
In addition, the position will also be using creative production techniques to enhance all network content. He/She must be able to collaborate with the Executive Producer, other producers, engineers and other key participants about production details and to help facilitate the creation of the “run of show” for live broadcasts and all multimedia content. Additionally, the Producer/Director must be able to operate (and instruct others) a camera and be able to record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media. The Producer should keep abreast of the changing landscape of live broadcasts with respect to what’s new and accepted in the industry.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required Master’s preferred
Formal Experience/Education in Athletic Management
3+ years of experience in the broadcasting industry
2+ years of producing/directing linear and digital broadcasts
2+ years of experience in video control room environment
3+ years of experience in script contributing or writing.
Familiarity with the following systems:
Audio: Powered and passive speakers, mixing consoles, wireless and wired microphones, audio recorders, signal flow
Video: HD and SD Video Systems video switching systems, projection lens to screen throw ratios, signal flow
Computers: Mac and PC literate, PowerPoint proficient, Microsoft Office
Expert knowledge of Final Cut Pro; Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Ilustrator; and Cinema 4D
Digital and Analog Audio Systems specifically Dante Protocol
Daktronics in game technologies
HD/SD Filming
Proficiency in encoding video for various deliverables Time and Resource Management
Experience in design, motion graphics and 3D animation an asset.
Documentation Skills
Troubleshooting Skills
Flexible daily work schedule. Evening and weekend schedule relates directly to athletic events and other university event schedules. This position includes working on holidays
This position works in multiple types of environments – office, production room, as well as outdoors acquiring video footage/content. In addition, this position is responsible for lifting video equipment which may be as heavy as 45-50 lbs.
