Production Assistant
Ball State University Media Services provides internal and external clients with impactful and high-quality productions, for educational, promotional, and corporate projects. Our state-of-the-art facilities enable our Production staff to continue to learn and grow professionally and help students learn proper workflows and techniques. The Production Assistant is an integral part of
UMS
, and this position will focus on providing support for classroom recordings, student productions, broadcast and streaming events, plus assisting with sports production on
ESPN
digital platforms. Starting rate for this position is $15.50/hour.

Operate production equipment (primarily DreamCatcher,
EVS
, and NewTek replay systems, but may occasionally include: Ross Xpression graphics, Sony and Blackmagic cameras, Grass Valley switchers, various analog and digital audio boards, and other equipment) during broadcasts of Ball State home sporting events on
ESPN
and other platforms, and for video board productions. Perform audio/video duties such as camera operations, lighting, and editing for remote and studio productions.
Associate’s degree or equivalent in broadcast operations, telecommunications technology or related field.
One through three years experience in related TV operation functions.
Must possess and maintain a driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
