Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides guidance, oversight, and planning for Sport Programs; includes but is not limited to budget management (funding allocation, planning and reimbursement), travel oversight (registrations, vehicle rentals), participant adherence to policies and procedures, league and event scheduling, and participant disciplinary concerns
2. Provides guidance and sound interpretation of University, Department, and Sport Programs policies, procedures, operations, and training processes
3. Provides on-site risk management for Sport Programs' events, including off-campus sites
4. Works closely with student volunteers providing mentoring, team development strategies, planning, and operation management
5. Demonstrates a strong commitment to teamwork, customer service, ethical leadership, and talent development for student staff members and volunteers.
6. May supervise student assistants, graduate assistants, and interns and provides adequate training, assessment, and evaluation.
7. Coordinates with appropriate personnel and services for marketing efforts, facility reservation and space allocations, and EAPs and risk management protocols including concussion management and return to play and Athletic Training event coverage
8. Serves as American Red Cross AED/CPR/First Aid instructor for department
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*:
Able to work late nights and weekends and travel between two campuses as needed

Ability to analyze data and make sound recommendations based on the data/feedback
Able to apply time management strategies to complete tasks and responsibilities by recognized and assigned deadlines, and thorough understanding of task prioritization

Anthology Engage, and Microsoft office suite
Plans and implements program initiatives for the assigned college, department, and/or unit. Participates in the generation of program resources, communication, design and development of operating goals, objectives, and protocols. Serves as primary point for program implementation and operational matters. Provides technical, professional and programmatic guidance, consultation, and support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops, plans and coordinates the implementation and execution of programs, special projects, events and other initiatives designed to achieve the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the assigned program(s) and/or department(s)
2. Oversees and administers all facets and activities related to day-to-day operations of the assigned program(s) and/or departments
3. Serves as liaison with internal and external clients on all matters relating to program and/or department activities
4. Provides, administers and/or coordinates the provision of technical guidance, consultation, related support to clientele within area of program focus
5. Assists with forecast projections and budget for each fiscal year and evaluates progress towards financial goals and may be responsible for the program or department's purchasing card (PCard)
6. Prepares and delivers presentations and collateral for program and/or department and events
7. Coordinates and administers the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data, prepares comprehensive program reports and evaluation summaries
8. May coordinate, administer and monitor social media presence and program outreach
9. May supervise and/or lead assigned staff and/or students assistants
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field
Required Experience
One (1) years of related work experience to the position
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW AND/OR INSTITUTION:
Current, valid American Red Cross AED/CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field
Preferred Experience
Previous experience with program development and coordination
Previous experience in higher education
Previous experience working or participating in collegiate sport programs
Two (2) years' experience in related field
ABILITIES
Able to devise, develop, collect and analyze statistical information and reports
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Ability to make administrative and/or procedural decisions and judgments
Able to work nontraditional shifts, may work evenings, nights, and/or weekends
KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated professional knowledge and operational expertise within designated area of program focus
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
