Job Summary/Basic Function
Applicant will address the public as the PA announcer for women’s basketball, softball, lacrosse, and/or baseball. This will consist of arriving 1 hour before a scheduled contest’s start time to review the script and prepare for deliver of the script. The script will include announcing of team rosters, acknowledging specific in-game activities or statistics, sponsorship or department reads, and any in-game contests with fans.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled full-time as a Shepherd University student Experience with public speaking Clear communicator Exceptional writing skills Willing to work nights or weekends
Preferred Qualifications
Federal Work Study eligible Enrolled in one of the following majors: Recreation and Sports Studies (Preferably Sports Communication concentration) or Communication and New Media
