The overall purpose of this job is to assist the Director for Video and Marketing in day-to-day operations. This position reports to the Director for Video and Marketing and works to increase sponsorship revenue and season ticket sales as well as provide a positive look to athletics from a patron’s point of view through social media, promotions, special events and community outreach.

Position creates marketing and promotions initiatives for intercollegiate athletics, including special events, social media, fundraising involvement and community outreach. Coordinates the planning and distribution of marketing and promotional materials. Assists with developing comprehensive season ticket plans for football and men’s and women’s basketball, including social media, community event involvement, speaking opportunities and group sales. Assists with floor/field activity for men’s and women’s basketball and football events, assists with on-court/on-field promotions, script creation, sponsorship presentations, giveaways and in-game details. Serves as a sales contact for corporate sponsorships. Complies with
NCAA
,
OVC
and
TTU
guidelines, rules and regulations. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with University personnel and corporate/community sponsors. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business or a related field. The position also requires on-the-job training and effective communication skills as well as networking and sales training. The position should have one year of experience, preferably in an athletic setting, beyond the degree requirement. Effective communication, time management skills, appropriate business etiquette, sales and networking skills, organizational skills, and ability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends.
Three years of experience in marketing, promotions, sales or related area. Graphic design experience. Supervisory experience. Experience working in a collegiate athletics program.
Ability to work extended nights and weekends
Compensation and Benefits
| Salary | Commensurate with education and experience. Pay grade 9. |
