Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director of Development & Strategic Initiatives, the Regional Development Officer will assist with the high-level giving or fundraising efforts of the Tiger Scholarship Fund for the University of Missouri’s Athletics Department in Saint Louis.
Day-to-day activities will include:
Developing and implementing a comprehensive major gifts program to support Athletics at the University, including strategies for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift prospects
Preparing and presenting major gift proposals.
Managing a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors in Saint Louis and surrounding areas; developing and maintaining relationships with these individuals to secure gifts in support of Athletics priorities.
Establishing a plan with specific goals and timetables to raise major and planned gifts within the scope of special projects, campaigns, endowment or annual fundraising needs.
Conducting prospect research and identification that will lead to the solicitation of individual major gifts.
Maintaining a portfolio of between 75 – 100 prospects with typical solicitation ranges of $250,000 - $3 million plus.
This position will commute to participate in Athletic events as appropriate. This includes, but is not limited to, home and away football games, home and away men's basketball games and other donor engagement events.
Ability to work independently and successfully manage multiple projects from start to finish.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year; This opportunity includes a best-in-class compensation package that includes lump sum incentives tied to annual fund renewals and new gifts.

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a NCAA Development Program handling major gifts.
