The Training Table Registered Dietitian is an expert in food, nutrition, and culinary arts. Duties and Responsibilities
Apply NowLiaison with Vanderbilt Athletics Nutrition Team
Works closely with Campus Dining Culinary team to ensure the purchase and preparation of high quality, fresh and local foods/ingredients to further enhance athletic performance. Assists with designing menus with a healthy balance of complex carbohydrates, clean proteins, colorful salads, fruits and vegetables.
Provides nutritional education to student athletes to develop knowledge of how their choices affect their day-to-day athletic performance.
Provides basic nutritional facts, develops, and codes menu according to nutritional value to assist student athletes with the information needed to make good food selections.
Maintains daily contact and communication with Athletics personnel to ensure Dining’s food program is meeting the individual needs of student athletes.

Provides head notes, footnotes, and other copy to accompany recipes.
Analyzes menus and recipes for nutritional adequacy.
Develops menus and/or meal plans to meet specific nutrition guidelines.
Professional Development
Maintains dietetic registration and continuing education requirements.
Develops and implements an individualized portfolio plan for professional growth and development including participation in professional organizations and activities, workshops, and seminars.
Qualifications:
Basic computer skills and an ability to work in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) is necessary.
Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population is necessary.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage competing priorities is necessary.
Strong time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills and an eye for detail is necessary.
