Working Title: Scouting Assistant, FootbalL

Position Summary: Duke University Athletics is seeking a qualified candidate to coordinate and evaluate efforts with the assigned positions and (offensive and/or defensive) units. Responsible for offensive and/or defensive portal management and secondary area identification of prospects. Will oversee offer tracking of all assigned position players nationwide and logistics for recruiting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree, Minimum 1 year experience working with football scouting and reporting

Essential Functions:

· Experience and knowledge using defensive portal management

· Maintain the football recruiting database

· Provide identification of potential prospects to position coaches and staff

· Monitor and Evaluate the Transfer Portal

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

• Effective written and verbal communication

• Knowledge of NCAA rules

• Strong organizational and problem solving skills needed

• The scope of this position requires weekend, evening and possible holiday hours

• Thrive in fast paced environment, possess a keen attention to details, and ability to multi-task

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Experience

Work requires one year of experience in program administration or OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE involving academic, instructional or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events.
