About Us:
Colorado College (“CC”) is a private, four-year, highly selective liberal arts college of 2,300 undergraduate students and a small Master of Arts in teaching program. It is located on a 99-acre campus adjacent to downtown, ‘Olympic City’, Colorado Springs. The campus sits on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains at the foot of Pikes Peak. The college operates an innovative curricular approach, known as the Block Plan, which entails students taking one course at a time for three and a half weeks, with the academic year divided into eight “blocks.” The Colorado College Department of Athletics sponsors 17 varsity programs. Fifteen programs compete at the
NCAA
Division
III
level and two at the Division I level. Division
III
programs are members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (
SCAC
), with the exception of Men’s Lacrosse (independent) and Women’s Lacrosse (
WIAC
affiliate). Division I Men’s Hockey is a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (
NCHC
) and Division I Women’s Soccer competes as an affiliate member of the Mountain West Conference (
MWC
).
Summary Description:
The primary function of this position is to assist in the day-to-day operations of a highly competitive Division
III
program. Responsibilities for this position include leading, developing and coaching student-athletes, effectively teaching team and individual skills connected with team and player development. Recruit and retain prospective student athletes while adhering to the philosophy of Colorado College and appropriate

and Conference Rules. Assist Head Coach in administrative tasks to include travel coordination, equipment management, student athlete support as well as campus involvement and engagement through fund raising, alumni relations, clinics, and community service projects. Assist Aquatics Director in scheduling, training, and retaining lifeguards, precuring outside rentals and maintaining relationships with local clubs and aquatics programs on campus and in the community.
The pay for this position is $12,500.
The pay range reflects base pay for positions in a given pay band across the college. Individual rates are determined within the range by factors including one’s qualifications, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same band and department budget. Perform operations duties as assigned to assist head coach for women’s soccer- may include team travel arrangement, flights, catering, ground transportation, hotels.
May travel with the team to away competitions.
Assist head coach in planning practices and competition.
Assist with opponent scouts and film breakdown
Assist head coach in recruiting qualified student-athletes.
Interact with student-athletes and staff in a positive and appropriate manner (includes those at CC, as well as our opponents).
Abide by all conference,
NCAA
, and Colorado College rules, regulations and bylaws.
Does this position require driving CC vehicles/ being insurable under CC's insurance plan?
Yes
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution plus a minimum of three years GK playing/coaching experience at the college level; proficient in computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic knowledge of the internet; ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds; available to work evening and weekend hours and to travel extensively, often by airplane.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by Colorado College’s motor vehicle insurance carrier.
