Job Description:
Assist in football strength and conditioning program design and implementation.
• Assist in nutrition education, needs, and plans for the student-athletes.
• Assist with high needs work or extra work for the student-athletes. (Cardio Club, Squat School, Weight Gain Club)
• Assist with training of current athletes, new athletes, walk-ons, etc.
• Assist with recovery procedures for athletes, such as soft tissue, flexibility, mobility, cold tubs, contrast, etc.
• Responsible for the program design and implementation of our Developmental lift groups during in-season training.
• Responsible for the collection and recording of data related to the performance of our student-athletes.
• Responsible for weight room cleaning and upkeep
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1-3 years as collegiate strength and conditioning coach, preferably at Div 1 level
• Current, valid Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Associate Certification
Communication and other skills:
• Regular communication with coaches, sports medicine staff
• Supervise and develop staff
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of training and lifting exercises per NCAA guidelines
• Adherence to NCAA , MAC and UT policies and regulations
