Job Description Summary

The Senior Advisor to the Director of Athletics is responsible for oversight of the Pottruck Center for Student-Athlete Success (CSAS) and will be a primary sport administrator for multiple varsity teams. The Senior Advisor will also serve as a member of the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics’ Executive Team, working collaboratively with the Director of Athletics in setting strategy and defining priorities.

Job Responsibilities

• Center for Student-Athlete Success – Provides administrative supervision and strategic guidance to the Associate Athletic Director, Pottruck CSAS, whose scope includes academic support services, professional development, the Penn Athletics Wharton Leadership Academy, and mental health services.
• Sport Administration – Manages and supervises head coaches and staff, setting performance expectations. Includes oversight of coaching contracts, team management, budgets, schedules, fundraising efforts, etc.
• Assists the Director of Athletics in setting strategy and defining priorities for the Division.
• Develops sports administration resources and provides executive coaching to DRIA staff, as requested by the Athletic Director.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
