Reporting to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports, the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Services is responsible for the development and execution of programs and services related to student-athlete well-being and leadership development. This position will also supervise selected sports and provide administrative guidance and support to those coaches and programs. This position requires some travel, as well as evening and weekend hours.
Supervises administrative and competitive aspects of multiple varsity sports programs, including but not limited to performance, athlete recruitment and experience, development and evaluation of coaches, oversight of budget and finance, assistance with practice and game scheduling, and competitive performance.
Oversees T.E.A.M. Fordham, a life skills program to benefit the personal well-being of all student-athletes to prepare them for life after Fordham.
Assists in the management of funds for assigned sports and units by ensuring the area stays within the allocated annual budget.
Serves as liaison to the Dean of Students Office, Student Affairs, and Title IX Office on behalf of the Department of Athletics.
Assists in providing strategic direction for departmental initiatives focused on student-athlete welfare, gender equity, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Collaborates in the development of policies and procedures designed to ensure the achievement of internally established goals and objectives and continuous evaluation toward the achievement of goals and objectives.
Assists the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics in strategic planning for the University and department.
Serves as a member of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics’ Cabinet.
Complies with all NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations.

Provides strategic leadership and contributes to higher-level direction. Typically oversees managers via direct and indirect reports. Responsible for hiring, developing leaders, managing performance, corrective action, and compensation decisions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Sports Administration, or related field.
A minimum of 6 years experience in collegiate sports administration.
High-level organizational skills.
Demonstrated commitment and motivation to building a successful program. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Understanding and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
